The war on words. If we cannot define who the enemy is how can we win?


Creating confusion or avoiding it depends on how we define the words we use.
The enemy knows how to confuse us and this confusion leads to disorganization among those who oppose them. The enemy knows how to play with words. Say one thing, make someone think you said something different. Spread a lot of misinformation. The best word game they play is to say a bunch of meaningless words and have their listener think you agree with them or have said something profound.

The enemy has many followers. The politicians who want to destroy our freedom and our Constitution, which is the framework that holds our Republic together are joined by people who work in the liberal controlled news media. These two groups are aided by the educators who manipulate the impressionable minds of our youth and make them willingly accept without question the destructive words handed them by the people who they consider to be the leaders and lawmakers of our country.

The educators begin by changing the history of our great nation teaching their young students that our Founding Fathers were racists, slave owners and terrorists. The educators confuse everyone by the labels they place on the wrong people. The Founding Fathers were Patriots, those friends of Barack Obama in the Weather Underground and in the Muslim Brotherhood are the real terrorists. The educators leave out huge parts of our history that would help to explain the course of actions that led up to our American Revolution such as the attempt to disarm the colonists by the British soldiers in Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts.

How confused can one be when the classroom discussion does not explain the words of The Declaration of Independence and the profound purpose that spoke of our Rights coming from God, We are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights. The mightiest words ever written are contained in the second paragraph of The Declaration of Independence:
 We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Does this sound like the words of a bunch of terrorists?

Today, we have the most uninformed population that has ever lived within these United States. So when the discussion begins about Gun Control, which is actually about the abolishment of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, how many voters understand what is being said?

When politicians speak up on the Gun Control issue how many have bothered to connect their proposed changes to the legitimate process of creating an amendment to the Constitution that would be voted on by 2/3 of the State Legislatures? But since most people do not understand how the Constitution should be changed they are willing to accept these gun bans as legitimate laws.

When politicians acknowledge that the background checks, which are supposed to be used to prevent people who were not allowed under the existing laws to buy, own or posses a gun, are not working - how many will talk about the existing laws that have not been followed and why there has been little or no prosecutions against people who bought, attempted to buy or possessed a gun illegally? How many politicians will admit that civil-rights groups like the ACLU have prevented background checks from including people with mental illness because its bad to discriminate against them? But of course, how many in the liberal news media will inform their listeners or readers that all of the mass murderers in recent history had some form of mental illness that should have kept them from legally possessing a gun? In the few cases that the mental illness question does arise the politicians and the news media use it to justify saying that the majority of the public approves of enhanced background checks when the existing laws already say these same people are not allowed to have a gun but the laws are not enforced.

How many politicians will explain the other details in the proposed background checks such as a form of national gun registration. And history has shown us that in countries that had created such a national gun registration it was soon followed by searches and seizures and the confiscation of privately owned guns. But of course, our educators have conveniently forgotten or overlooked the purpose of why our Founding Fathers wrote the Second Amendment in the first place. For how does one oppose a tyrannical government when they have no weapons to use for self-defense?

How many people have asked the question that in all of these proposed new gun control laws, how would any of them have prevented the horrific tragedy at the Sandy Hook Elementary School, that same tragedy the politicians exploited day after day to build up public sentiment to favor their changes? The shooter in Newtown, Connecticut, Adam Lanza who was suffering from mental illness, was not eligible to own or posses a firearm under the existing laws but it didn't stop him from getting them. He simply murdered his mother and took her guns and went on to kill 20 children and 6 adults. And James Holmes, who also suffered from mental illness, had no trouble getting his guns in Aurora, Colorado and he was also suffering from mental illness. Holmes killed 12 people and wounded 58 in a movie theater. In Tuscon, Arizona, on January 8, 2011 Jared Loughner, also suffered from mental illness, but he got a gun and shot 13 people, killing six during a meet-and-greet with U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Many years ago, in New York City, in response to a rash of street shootings some liberal politician dreamed up the idea that the shootings were committed by people using cheap, inexpensive handguns. He coined the term Saturday Night Specials and it caught on. Soon everyone was against the Saturday Night Specials - until when they read the list of specific model handguns that were to be classified as a Saturday Night Special. Low and behold, almost every premier handgun was listed and most were not exactly the cheaply made, inexpensive guns they were told to be. Talk about one thing and do something else.

Liberal politicians love to write feel good policy that doesn't accomplish anything useful. First, create the idea that guns are really bad things, then say we won't allow them here in this location. As a result schools, movie theaters and shopping malls became Gun Free Zones, and prime targets for mayhem. In schools anything and everything that anyone could imagine that was associated with a gun became part of the Zero Tolerance Policy. It matters not that many schools used to have shooting ranges in their basements years ago where people were taught the safe and responsible way to handle a gun. The first time I handled and shot a revolver was in just such a shooting range back in the 1950's. Now, if a child bites one corner from a Pop Tot cookie and a teacher sees it the child is expelled for creating an image of a gun. If another child points his finger at someone and say "bang" they get arrested for an act of terrorism, Inducing Public Panic its called in some places. And is it any coincidence that the most violent acts committed with guns are done in Gun Free Zones? Places where a shooter can be assured that no one has a gun for protection. But the politicians that write the laws and the news people who cover up for the politicians all have privately owned armed security people who do have guns to protect them. It is interesting to think what would happen if they were forced to live without any armed protection. Would they change their opinions about guns?
