From the time the Pilgrims arrived on American soil, faith in God played an important part in shaping our nation. Images of Moses adorn the Supreme Court in recognition of the Judeo-Christian origin of our laws. But it was Taxes, loss of Liberty and oppression from a mad king that led our Founding Fathers to write The Declaration of Independence and start The American Revolution. Today, those who stand for these ideals no longer call themselves The Silent Majority because we are silent no more.
If the proposed mosque on Cayton Rd. in Florence, Kentucky is ever built there will be another test over the superiority of Islamic Sharia Law and the civil laws governing our country. The city council governing the City of Florence, Kentucky passed the buck when the zoning and building permits for this mosque were approved because they didn't want to get involved with the religious rights of the local Muslims. But the city council had no idea what they are allowing to happen. Now, as the following story reveals, they better reexamine their noise ordinances and see if they conflict with the religious rights they didn't want to get involved with and the rights of the non-Muslim residents of the surrounding area. Here is the text of the Florence ordinances covering noise.
§ 101.01 UNLAWFUL NOISES.
It shall be unlawful for any person to make, continue, or cause to be made or continued any excessive, unnecessary or unusually loud noise or any noise which either annoys, disturbs, injures or endangers the comfort, repose, health, peace and safety of others, within the limits of the city.
§ 101.02 DISTURBING AND UNNECESSARY NOISES.
C) Loud speakers, amplifiers for advertising. The using, operating or permitting to be played, used, or operated of any radio receiving set, musical instrument, phonograph, loudspeaker, sound amplifier, or other machine or device for the producing or reproducing of sound which is case upon the public streets for the purpose of commercial advertising or attracting the attention of the public to any building or structure.
As the decidedly Politically Incorrect web site Bare Naked Islam quips: "Yes, there ARE some benefits to having a mosque in your neighborhood. You can throw away your alarm clock because you will be awakened at 6AM each day to what Barack Hussein Obama calls the prettiest sound on earth – the Muslim Call to Prayer. And you can hear it again four more times a day."

The site is identified as a 5.58-acre parcel at 900 Cayton Road in Florence. It is in the section that runs between Mall Road and Hopeful Church Road, behind Kroger and the former Hollywood Video site. Click the picture for a larger view.
The web site TPMMuckraker reported on August 20th this year: "Rep. Geoff Davis (R) is Florence's congressional representative. Like many Republicans, he's opposed to the Cordoba House project in New York. "Plans to construct a mosque near the Ground Zero memorial site, where thousands of Americans lost their lives due to a radical Islamic terrorist group attack, is not only insensitive but provocative," he told the Enquirer yesterday."
"But when it comes to the mosque project in his home district, Davis seems a bit more cautious. "So long as the appropriate state and local rules have been followed, this is permissible under the establishment clause regarding freedom of religion in the First Amendment of the Constitution," Davis said of the Florence mosque."
Chris from Logan’s Warning videotaped the Masjid At-Taqwa mosque at 6AM in the morning in a densely populated neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY at Fulton Street and Bedford Avenue. The video is shaky at first because he started the recording while pulling the camera from his bag. It is not as important as the sound track because it is the amplified “call to prayer” that is the subject of the annoyance, so turn on your speakers to better appreciate it. And remember, when Muslims are given permission to practice their religion in the way the are accustomed to, your right to live in your home and enjoy your peace and quiet become secondary. Also, by the way, you can Google "Muslim call to prayer" and listen to similar amplified recordings from all over the world.
While it isn't part of the conflict over any noise ordinances, it is interesting to note what else goes on at this mosque in Brooklyn. This also comes from Logan's Warning. Here is an excerpt from a speech given by one of the imams from the Masjid At-Taqwa mosque in Brooklyn, Imam Siraj Wahhaj, a convert to Islam originally known as Jeffrey Kearse, that clearly shows how well they desire to become good citizens:
“…And [Allah] declared ‘Whoever is at war with my friends, I declare war on them.’ … Your true friend is Allah, the messenger, and those who believe…. Hear what I’m telling you well. The Americans are not your friends. The Canadians are not your friends. The Europeans are not your friends. Your friend is Allah, the messenger, and those who believe. These people will never be satisfied with you until you follow their religion.”
Truly, the good people of Florence, Kentucky can look forward to some exciting days ahead. As I have previously mentioned, the source of the financing behind this proposed mosque has not been revealed. The Kentucky Enquirer newspaper reported last August that Mohammed Zineddin, the president of the Mercy Foundation that purchased the property on Cayton Rd. was out of the country and unavailable for comment. The majority of mosques being built across America have been financed by the Saudi Arabian government and carry a stipulation that the fundamentalist form of Islam, the most radical variation called Wahhabism, must be preached in these mosques. According to Wikipedia, Wahhabi is described as follows:
"Wahhabism" (this pure form of Islam) is the dominant form of Islam in Saudi Arabia. It has developed considerable influence in the Muslim world in part through Saudi funding of mosques, schools and social programs.
A study conducted by the NGO Freedom House found Wahhabi publications in mosques in the United States. These publications included statements that Muslims should not only "always oppose" infidels "in every way", but "hate them for their religion ... for Allah's sake", that democracy "is responsible for all the horrible wars of the 20th century", and that Shia and certain other non-Wahhabi Muslims were infidels.

in south Lake County is “bad news” and warned of “wailing music” if the
mosque becomes a reality. The Islamic Center of Clermont, which had
tried, but failed, to get planning approval for an Islamic center last
year, is at it again.
Orlando Sentinel Goodgame, first elected in 2004 and re-elected last week, raised questions about the potential mosque in anewsletter he
emails to supporters. He called it “bad news” that the Islamic group
had bought the property and has submitted preliminary plans for its
project.
“Their wailing music may become a nuisance to many,” Goodgame commented in his newsletter.
